Art Artefacts and Anecdotes; The Cultural Legacy of Edward Cecil Guinness

This tour is inspired by the eclectic taste and discerning eye of Edward Cecil Guiness as expressed in the art works and historical wall hangings that adorn the ground floor here at Farmleigh House.

The anecdotes delivered between viewings are liberally sprinkled with factual details which serve to highlight both the personal impulse and the wider social and political events which influenced Edward’s approach to collecting art. The tour culminates with an acknowledgment of his significant and enduring impact on the International Art market.
