The Water Colour Society of Ireland will be holding its 169th Annual Exhibition in the Farmleigh Gallery, Phoenix Park from Monday, 30th September to Sunday 13th October.
The exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 5pm including weekends. Around 120 leading artists from Ireland and abroad will show over 200 paintings in watercolour, gouache, pastels, drawings and limited edition prints, featuring a wide variety of subjects- landscapes, seascapes, still life, animal and life studies as well as botanical and architectural works. Treatments range from the traditional to the highly contemporary. A hugely successful exhibition with record attendance of over 3000 was held in Farmleigh in 2023.
Details will be put up on the WCSI website – www.watercoloursocietyofireland.com – closer to the opening time.
Visitors to the exhibition could spend a happy few hours exploring the surrounding gardens – beautifully maintained by the OPW – and visiting the Boathouse restaurant.
