One of Ireland’s leading mezzo-sopranos Raphaela Mangan joins forces with international trumpet soloist Niall O’Sullivan and dynamic pianist Annalisa Monticelli to present a cross-genre celebration of musical theatre, light classical gems, jazz, and iconic film music.
The trio’s captivating programme includes beloved classics such as Habanera from Bizet’s Carmen, songs from Les Misérables, Chess, Evita and West Side Story, jazz standards like Misty and Summertime, and cinematic masterpieces from The Godfather and The Mission. Annalisa Monticelli is an acclaimed pianist and vocal coach with a distinguished international career across Europe, Asia, the USA, and South America. A prize-winning artist and educator, she holds multiple master’s degrees and diplomas in piano, chamber music, and music education. Based in Ireland since 2012, she has worked with the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dundalk IT, and Irish National Opera. Her broad performance repertoire spans opera, musical theatre, jazz, and Latin American music, and her research on Michele Esposito earned her the Premio Michele Esposito award.
Irish trumpet soloist Niall O’Sullivan is celebrated for his cross-genre versatility, performing in major venues worldwide including the Barbican, Konzerthaus Berlin, and the National Centre for Performing Arts, Beijing. He has collaborated with artists from José Carreras to Imelda May and recorded with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. His most recent album, Niall O’Sullivan and Friends, features Danielle de Niese and Larry Carlton, with arrangements by Gavin Murphy. His performances range from Baroque to Broadway, captivating audiences with his expressive playing.
Irish mezzo-soprano Raphaela Mangan is a graduate of the DIT Conservatory and Flanders Opera Studio. She has performed widely across Europe in operatic roles such as Carmen, Cherubino, Ottavia, and Orfeo, and appeared with companies including Irish National Opera and the RTÉ orchestras. Her concert repertoire includes Verdi’s Requiem and Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius. Known for her rich tone and dramatic range, she is in high demand both on the operatic stage and in concert settings.
