In celebration of the 65th anniversary of Graphic Studio Dublin, Parklife: A Printed Landscape brings together artists in a vibrant tribute to the city’s green spaces, supported by IPUT Real Estate Dublin.
This exhibition showcases new, original fine art prints inspired by specific Dublin parks — from the grand expanse of Phoenix Park to the urban serenity of Wilton Park, St. Stephen’s Green, Iveagh Gardens, and more.
Opening at the Cowshed Gallery, Farmleigh — located in the heart of Phoenix Park, the largest enclosed park in any European capital — and continuing at Graphic Studio Gallery in Temple Bar, Parklife: A Printed Landscape invites artists to explore the diverse landscapes and stories within Dublin’s parks. Phoenix Park’s scale, history, and layered public life make it a perfect starting point for this tribute to Dublin’s parks.
The exhibition celebrates the green spaces of our city and 65 years of printmaking at Graphic Studio Dublin. Through its gallery and studios, Graphic Studio Dublin has long been a vital space for artists to create, exhibit, and engage with the public. Each artist’s interpretation of Dublin’s parks contributes to the continued evolution of printmaking in Ireland today, weaving together themes of public space, personal connection, and place.
Each participating artist has responded to one of 15 iconic parks, weaving together their own narratives through original printmaking — the medium at the heart of Graphic Studio Dublin. The works are accessible, collectible, and rich in the layered beauty of Dublin’s natural and civic heritage.
Parklife: A Printed Landscape explores the diverse landscapes and stories within Dublin’s parks through the lens of artists from Ireland’s largest and longest-running fine art print studio.
Renowned Irish author Naoise Dolan has been commissioned to write a new literary work for the exhibition, which will be set in letterpress and presented as part of the show.
Visitors can expect a wide range of original prints — including etchings, lithographs, carborundums, screenprints, and woodcuts — by artists such as Ed Miliano, Elke Thonnes, Robert Russell, Pamela Leonard, Jennifer Lane, Sharon Lee, Alastair Keady, Cliona Doyle and many more.
