November 22, 2018 @ 8:00 pm – 10:30 pm
Farmleigh Ballroom

An evening in the ballroom of Farmleigh exploring crime through drama, fiction, music—and the expertise of real-world crime experts.

In this two-part evening, writer in residence Philip St John will introduce a rehearsed reading from his play On City Water Hill, a dark-comedy thriller; and readings by best-selling Irish crime novelists Arlene Hunt and Declan Hughes. In the second part of the event, Philip will host a panel discussion with real-world experts—a detective specializing in murder investigations, a forensic scientist, and a detective from the national cyber-crime unit. Along with all that, emerging Irish band Parallel Society will play interpretations of crime music from movies and TV shows.
